Don’t be the next victim. Be prepared.

When it comes to self-defence, many people believe that if they can make a lot of noise with a whistle or an alarm, it will be enough to scare off a would-be attacker and summon help. Sadly, this is not always the case. That’s why we specialise in a discrete and dynamic oleoresin capsicum (OC) pepper spray, which Western Australians are legally allowed to use in situations of self-defence.

Benefits of Oleoresin Capsicum Pepper Spray

Oleoresin Capsicum Pepper Spray is an excellent deterrent, which is why it is widely used by police and other authorities around the world. The benefits of investing in this highly versatile defence spray include:

Legal in WA to be used in self-defence situations only.
It’s portable, discrete, safe and can be easily carried on your person or in a handbag.
It’s easy to use and doesn’t require years of training to effectively deploy it.
Up to 3.5m spray range and a liquid stream.
Recommended 12 months expiry date (after purchase) or after first use.

How Does OC Pepper Spray Work?

The main active ingredient in pepper spray is a chemical called “capsaicin” which is derived from chilli peppers in a chemical process that dissolves and concentrates it into a liquid.

Once the pepper spray is sprayed on the attacker, it works instantly to attack mucous membranes in the eyes and respiratory system. The symptoms that follow are profuse lachrymation (tears), coughing fits, difficulty breathing and choking. Because lachrymatory agents work on nerve receptors that help us sense heat, they also induce an intense burning sensation.

The combined effects of Dynamic Defence pepper spray can last anywhere from 20 minutes to more than an hour, giving you sufficient time to seek assistance and get to safety.

Is Pepper Spray Legal in Western Australia?

The laws around pepper spray varies from one state to another in Australia and there are specific rules and regulations for a state when it comes to personal possession. WA government legislation states that pepper spray is lawful in self-defence situations.

Is Pepper Spray Legal in Northern Territory?

This product is only able to be legally purchased through approved dealers in NT, see link below for more details.https://pfes.nt.gov.au/police/firearmsweapons/oc-spray-trial
