KA-BAR / KA BAR / KABAR This award winning kabar lock back designed by Bob Dozier is an affordable, practical all-purpose knife appropriate for daily tasks. It features a satin finished AUS 8A stainless steel drop point blade with a reversible thumb stud. The handle is textured Zytel, known for its high strength and low weight properties. The locking mechanism is a strong and dependable lock-back design. The lanyard and reversible tip-up pocket clip make this a great knife for everyday carry.
Blade: Equipped with a sharply hollow ground, black finished hunter-styled blade for many an outdoor or everyday chore. It makes a great slicer with its straight plain cutting edge. This one opens easily via its single textured thumb stud and locks up solid with a back locking mechanism. Just over half an inch of jimping on the spine makes a fine, high traction spot for your thumb to rest.
Handle: This comfortably textured Zytel handle is lightweight and durable. It has no liners to weigh it down with black hardware and a lanyard hole to boot. You’ll find a black coated reversible pocket clip attached for tip up left or right-hand carry. This makes the Dozier Folder a truly ambidextrous companion.
Japanese AUS-8 Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.

KA-BAR was a trademark of Union Cutlery and was stamped on the iconic USMC Fighting/Utility knife introduced during WWII. Today, KA-BAR is still made in Olean, NY and makes knives for military, law enforcement, camping, hunting, and bushcraft.
